HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli military officials said six were detained from the West Bank overnight, with Palestinian security sources identifying one of the men taken as the son of a Hamas lawmaker.
Sources said Israeli forces entered Idhna village in the southern West Bank before sunrise, where Mujahid Abu Juheisha, son of Palestinian lawmaker Muhammad Abu Juheisha was detained.
A second force entered the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, taking two men and a child. An Israeli military spokesman confirmed that three were detained.
Locals identified those detained as 25-year-old Nabil Awadh, 18-year-old Ali Za’aqiq, and 14-year-old Muhammad Abu Hashim.
Spokesman of Beit Ummar’s local committee against the separation wall and settlement activities Muhammad Ayyad Awwad said Israeli forces also ransacked home of Ahmad Abu Hashim.
Earlier in the evening, Israeli media reported that a Molotov Cocktail had been thrown at an Israeli patrol vehicle. No injuries were reported at the time.
Three others were detained overnight from north of Jenin, an Israeli military spokesman told Ma'an.
