Algeria expects hydrocarbon revenue spike

Algeria anticipates annual hydrocarbon receipts to grow by $6-7b when the new Arzew Industrial Area becomes fully operational in 2012, Energy Minister Chakib Khelil said during a visit to the Oran complex on Monday (March 22nd). The new facilities will increase "energy products' exporting capacity and…have a positive impact on national economy growth", El Moudjahid quoted Khelil as saying. One Arzew plant will produce more than one million tonnes of LPG per year.
