The International Festival of Arab Film will open December 16th in Oran, Ansa reported on Thursday (December 2nd). Tunisia, Morocco, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Palestine and Jordan are among the Arab countries slated to participate in the Algerian festival. Thirteen films will compete for the "Golden Ahggar" award. Controversial film "Hors-la-Loi", Algeria's entry in the 2011 Oscars, will open the eight-day event. The program includes workshops with international directors and filmmakers.
