Tehran - The Iranian parliament is to discuss a draft bill Wednesday to sever diplomatic ties with Britain, the Fars news agency reported. Tehran accuses Britain of being involved in recent protests against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and interfering in the country's internal affairs.
The parliamentary move comes despite Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast's statement on Tuesday that cutting ties with London was not on the agenda.
