Tehran - A delegation from the European Parliament has postponed a scheduled visit this month to Tehran, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Monday. The IRNA news agency quoted the spokesman as saying that a new date was to be set soon for the visit but he did not give a reason for the postponement.
However, IRNA said the delegation has reportedly canceled the visit because of protests by members of the US Congress.
The EU delegation was supposed to explore ways to boost cooperation with Iran's parliament and also discuss the dispute over Iran's nuclear programs.
