Tabriz fire damages dozens of stores

A huge fire in the main market of the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz has decimated more one hundred stores.

The fire broke out in the Tabriz arcade at about 5:30 pm local time (1400 p.m.) on Wednesday, IRINN reported on Thursday.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still unknown.

According to witnesses, the fire started from a store on the corner and then spread throughout the market.
