Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, has arrived in the Iranian capital, where he is scheduled to meet high-ranking officials in Tehran during his one-day visit.
The Qatari Emir was welcomed by Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki upon his arrival in Tehran.
Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani is slated to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other high-ranking officials.
The Qatari Emir is expected to discuss bilateral ties and regional issues as well as international issues with Iranian officials during his one-day stay.
Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani last visited Iran in March 2009.
