The situation in Libya is "painful and worrying," said an Algerian Muslim brotherhood on Sunday, calling for solutions to the crisis in the north African country.
After the United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution that led to an unexpected military strike in Libya, Movement of Society for Peace (MSP) called in a statement released Sunday "to immediately stop using force and respect the will of people, while prevailing reason to protect the unity of Libya as well as preserving its security and stability."
MSP, which belongs to Algeria's three-party alliance in power, has urged its country "to boost its Arab and African diplomatic machine in order to find quick solutions compatible with aspirations of the Libyan brother people, in the frame of the respect of their will and the integrity of their territories."
Yet, the Arab states have to manifest "crystal clear and frank position on the side of the Libyan people, in order to reach a denouncement to this painful crisis," the statement concluded.
