Four Turkish engineers working on a road construction project have been kidnapped in eastern Afghanistan, a government official said on Sunday.
The latest incident involving the four Turks and their driver occurred in the Dande Patan district of Paktia province, bordering Pakistan, said district chief Niyaz Mohammad Khalil.
"They were involved in road construction and were kidnapped by unknown armed men from a vehicle," Khalil told Reuters.
No other details were immediately available.
