An international conference on achieving academic freedom in African universities opened in Oran on Tuesday (March 9th), El Moudjahid reported. Information technology and the impact of social and political changes in Africa will also be discussed at the 3-day event. Academics and researchers from host nation Algeria are joined at the symposium by colleagues from Morocco, Senegal, Ethiopia, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, Egypt, the US, England and Canada.
