Mauritania's development partners have provided $104 million for projects in strategic sectors, APA reported on Tuesday (January 19th). According to Economic Affairs Ministry official El Hacen Ould Boukhreiss, the funds target development of an irrigated area near Lake R'Kiz, a power plant in Nouakchott, work on the Atar-Tidjikja road, the fight against poverty in rural areas, institutional support for the transport sector and other projects. The list of donors includes the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the Saudi Development Fund and the Islamic Development Bank.
