NETANYA, Israel, Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE: CEL) (TASE: CEL) (hereinafter: the "Company"), announced today the dismissal of a purported class action filed against the Company in May 2007, in the District Court of Tel-Aviv-Jaffa, by two subscribers of the Company, in connection with allegations that the Company unlawfully and in violation of its license raised its tariffs, in pricing plans that included a commitment to purchase certain services for a predefined period. The purported class action was dismissed with prejudice, with plaintiffs' consent. Had the lawsuit been certified as a class action, the total amount claimed from the Company was estimated by the plaintiffs to be approximately NIS 875 million.
