Abbadi checks on Hajj pilgrim housing
MECCA Al MUKARAMA (Petra) - Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Abdul Salam Abbadi, head of the Jordanian Hajj mission, on Thursday checked on accommodations for Jordanian pilgrims in Mecca Al Mukarama. Also yesterday, he met with the owners of licensed transport companies, stressing that the ministry will take strict measures against any violations. The minister also checked on the housing of 1,050 Palestinian pilgrims.
King Hussein Bridge alters hours for Hajj pilgrims
AMMAN (Petra) - The King Hussein Bridge will be open on Saturday, November 13, until midnight on Thursday, November 25, in order to facilitate the movement of pilgrims, the Public Security Department (PSD) announced on Thursday. The bridge will be closed to passengers and cargo movement on Tuesday, November 16 in observance of Eid Al Adha, the PSD said. The commercial crossing will be closed to cargo movement from Tuesday, November 16 to Saturday, November 20, the PSD added.
