The Iranian Minister of Energy, Majid Namjou, has said the Islamic Republic and Russia are set to cooperate over cloud seeding.
The Iranian official made the remark after meting with the Russian Natural Resources and Environment Minister Yury Trutnev, Mehr news agency reported on Saturday.
"According to the agreements, a joint working group will be set up to take advantage of the two countries' abilities," Namjou told reporters after the meeting.
"Russia has a powerful research center which can examine the Caspian Sea tide with the help of Iranian experts," he added.
According to Namjou, Russia has gained a lot of experience and knowledge in cloud seeding, which could be used by Iran.
"Tehran and Moscow insist on boosting mutual cooperation," the Iranian minister concluded.
