Bear Rescue in Kashmir, India

Wildlife authorities in India’s Jammu and Kashmir region had their hands full on Sunday. This bear made its way a little too close to local residents.

Eventually the bear ran into the Kalai River and was eventually rescued.

Not all bear encounters have ended so peacefully. Earlier this month a bear mauled two rebels in Kashmir.

Cases of bears straying into urban areas seems to be getting more common as they loose habitat to human settlements.
